Gonzalo Diéguez is the Executive Director of the Center for Advocacy and Global Growth (CAGG), an “do-thank” headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland that provides professional and management services to global corporations, NGOs and think tanks in the Global South interested in donating/apply for funds, provide/receive technical assistance, or implement/collaborate with development projects and initiatives lead by United Nations and/or European Union system agencies (WTO, ILO, UNDP, UNIDO, European Commission, EuroLat).

Gonzalo has more than 20 years of experience leading and managing international cooperation projects with non-profit organizations and government agencies at the national and sub-national levels in Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Peru, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, and Panama.

Before joining the CAGG, he served for 10 years as Director of the Public Management Program of the Center for the Implementation of Public Policies for Equity and Development (CIPPEC), one of the most important policy-oriented think tanks in the Americas. He was a Chief of Staff and a Parliamentary Adviser for Commissions for State Reform and Foreign Trade at Argentina’s House of Representative and served as a consultant to the Development Bank of Latin America (CAF), the Organization of Ibero-American States (OEI) and the Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE).

Since 2015, he has been lecturing several graduate-level courses in political science and public policy at universities in Argentina, Spain and Panama and has published various articles in peer-reviewed academic journals and book chapters in Argentina, Chile, the United States, Spain, and England.

Gonzalo holds a Ba. in Political Science from the University of Buenos Aires (summa cum laude) and a Master’s in Public Policy and Administration from Universidad de San Andrés, both in Buenos Aires, Argentina). He completed graduate studies in Public Policy at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst as a Fulbright Scholar.
