Ivan Velasquez-Castellanos is a Bolivian economist and business administration. His is currently a Program Coordinator in the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS) Bolivia Office and a Professor of National Economic History and Development Theory at the Universidad Mayor de San Andrés (UMSA). Prior to join KAS and UMSA, Ivan served as Executive Director of the Bolivian Chamber of Exporters (CAMEX) and representative of several private trading companies in the country.

Economist and business administrator, Mr. Velasquez-Castellanos hold a PhD in Economics at the Georg-August-Universität in Göttingen, Germany. He completed his post-doctorate in economics at the Institute for Latin American Studies of the Freie Universität Berlin (Fu Berlin) and was a visiting professor at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Lima (PUCP). He is a senior Researcher at the Center for Development Research (Zentrum Für Entwicklungs Forschung, ZEF) at the University of Bonn (Rheinische Friedrich – Wilheim Universitaet). His area of expertise are the Economics of Public Sector, Finance and International Trade among others.
