João Marcelo Dalla Costa is the Executive Director of the Brazilian Center for International Business – CEBRAS [Brasilianisches Wirtschaftszentrum GmbH & Co. KG], the largest liaison office, business cluster, start-up platform and firm incubator for Brazilian companies in Northern Europe. He is a Senior Partner and Head of European Operations for the Value Global Group, one of the largest commodities-specialized global trade brokers in Berlin, Germany.
Dr. Dalla Costa is a senior ad hoc consultant to the Brazilian Army in several procurement/acquisitions projects and works closely to the Brazilian Military Attaché in Germany and Netherlands to promote the Brazilian Defence interests abroad. He advised the Brazilian Foreign Office in the Presidential Bilateral Meetings Brazil-Norway held Oslo in 2014 and the NATO Summit in Lisbon in 2010. He served as an international consultant for the largest Brazilian Steel Mills companies such as USIMINAS, ArcelorMittal and CSN as well.
Dr. Dalla Costa is academic advisor for the Brussels Diplomatic Academy at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel and a former full professor affiliated with Military Sciences Graduate Program at the Brazilian Army Command and General Staff College (ECEME). João Marcelo has extensive academic experience on lecturing at graduate-level and leading research teams on International Relations, International Security and Defence Studies and Military Sciences – including the Brazilian School of Public Administration at Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV/EBAPE) in Brazil.
Political scientist by training, Prof. Dalla Costa hold a MA in Political Science at the Federal Fluminense University – UFF (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) and a PhD in the Eberhard-Karls Universität Tübingen in Germany.
