Ricardo Amado Castillo is a Founder-Partner at Bia Consulting, a Washington-based political strategy and communication firm focused on trend-spotting and micro-targeting.
During the last 5 years, Mr. Castillo has been participating in strategy and communications teams for presidential, municipal and legislative campaigns around the Americas. He has recently advised candidates, governments and political parties at federal and local level in Brazil, Ecuador and Mexico.
The focus of his work is at the intersection of campaign strategy, grassroots mobilization, political communication and online technologies (including social media) – where he is able to maximize citizen participation in government-led public campaigns.
He has also took part as a invited lecturer for political management executive seminars and graduate courses tailored to emerging LATAM political leaders and delivered by international organizations and US-based universities. In this capacity, he has been collaborating with IDEA-International, UN-Women, and the The George Washington University in Peru, Argentina, and Uruguay.
Mr. Castillo holds a MPS in Political Management at The George Washington University (Washington-DC) and a MBA at Instituto de Empresa (Madrid, Spain).
Born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela, Ricardo is currently living in Washington-DC.
